A little mystery, a little silliness, and a reason to read that line one more time! Bring October energy into fluency practice with three fall and Halloween readers theater scripts for grades 2–5.
Students explore friendship, bravery, and teamwork while practicing how a character might sound. Use the scripts for reading groups, a drama center, or a class performance.
Meet the three stories

- Bonus Hello October coloring page and Halloween word scramble with color and black-and-white versions and answer key (four bonus pages).
Teacher support is included

Try it in your classroom
Start with a relaxed read-through, then invite students to try a surprised voice, a curious voice, or their best “something mysterious is happening” voice. Give them time to reread their parts before sharing with the group. Keep it simple or add the optional props. Your choice!
