Create a collaborative Independence Day display with a 25-piece black-and-white poster. Each student colors a section, then the class assembles the numbered sheets in five rows of five.
The design reads “Happy 4th of July!” and includes fireworks, stars, a flag, a heart and the Statue of Liberty. Print on landscape letter-size paper for an untrimmed display approximately 55 inches wide by 42.5 inches tall. Allow for your printer’s margins when assembling.
You can use this for classroom bulletin boards, summer programs, homeschool groups or a shared holiday art project. This resource is suitable for kindergarten through grade 12 with appropriate support.
Set out the pieces for students to color, then bring the class together for the assembly. Before you hang the finished poster, take a moment to notice how everyone’s work fits into the larger picture.
